What range can I expect?

As with any radio technology, reception distance, quality and performance are subject to local environmental issues such as shielding, concrete, metal, electrical interference from power transmission, trains/trams for example.

I am using ADSL for one of my lines, how does this work?

It is important to note which of the lines coming in to your property has ADSL. This line will have a phone filter attached to the output,
along with your computer network. The W-SoHo base station will plug into the phone output of this ADSL filter.

I have a base station and seven DECT handsets/keysets. Why won’t my eighth Handset / Keyset register?

The W-SOHO will only support up to seven DECT handsets/keysets registered at one time.

I have no dial tone on one or more of my lines. (Long tone)

Some network facilities such as call forwarding via the network use a continual tone as dial tone to alert you that the feature is active. This will not prevent you making calls, contact your service provider for assistance.

The terminal does not ring.

The ring volume may be turned off or set too low to hear, follow the instructions in the user manual to increase the volume.

System power has failed.

Check all connections to see if the cables are not connected properly or are faulty.

How do I set the date and time?How do I set the date and time?

1. Press the “MENU” button
2. Press “1”
3. Press “1” again.

That will bring up the “DATE / TIME” menu. To change the date and time, press the corresponding number, with what date it is. (E.g. for 2:45PM Feburary 19th 2010 enter the year by pressing “1” and then “0” the cursor will automatically move to the month press “0” then “2”, cursor will automatically move to the day press “1” then “9” etc… The time is entered in 24 hour format I.E. 2PM is 14 hours.

When you register the wireless DECT handsets and keysets they will automatically obtain the date and time from the Base station.

How do I deregister a handset and why?

Once a handset is registered to your W-SOHO it will be allocated a station number, incoming ring and voicemail. If a handset becomes faulty it is important to remove the registration to allow the replacement handset to use these resources.

To deregister
1. Press the “MENU” button
2. Dial “1” Configuration
3. Dial“4” Station Register
4. Dial“2” Deregister
5. Select the station you wish to deregister
6. Then press the “OK” soft key

The Base Station should read:
STATION: 10X
UNSUBSCRIBED: SUCCESS

How do I Pick up a Call?

To pick up call ringing another station

Base station & LWS-WK
1. Lift the handset or press “SPEAKER”
2. Dial the ** call pickup code.

GDC400H or GDC450H
1. Dial the ** call pickup code.
2. Press the talk button.

How do I transfer a call?

While on a call, to perform a Screened Call Transfer:

1. Press [Trans].
2. Dial the station to receive the transfer.
3. At answer, announce call.
4. Hang-up to complete the transfer.

While on a call, to perform an Unscreened Call Transfer:
1. Press [Trans].
2. Dial the station to receive the transfer.
3. Hang-up to complete the transfer.

Conditions
1.
The transferring station may camp a call at a busy station (refer to Camp-On).
2. A station in DND or out-of-service can not receive a transfer; any attempt will result in an error tone.

How do I place someone on hold?

To place a call on System Hold:

1. Press the [Hold] button.

To access a call from System Hold: Base Station and LWS-WK
1. Press the {CO} line button.

OR


Base Station, LWS-WK and/or GDC-400
1. Lift the handset or press the [Speaker] button in LWS-WK or press [Talk] key in GDC-4XX.
2. Dial “Held Individual CO Access” code (ex. 8#).
3. Dial the CO line number(01-03)

OR

Base Station and LWS-WK and/or GDC-400

1. Lift the handset or press the [Speaker] button on theLWS-WK or press [Talk] key on the GDC-4XX.
2. Dial “Held CO Access” code (ex. 8*).
Conditions
1. When a CO line is placed on System Hold, the LED button will flash at 30 ipm (it will wink at the holding station and will flash at all other stations).
2. A call on System Hold can be retrieved from any station allowed access to the CO line in the system database using the CO line button or the Held CO call access code.

How do I add a number to my station speed dial?

To program an Individual Speed Dial number:

1. Press the [Directory] button.
2. Press the [Speed] button.
3. Press the [Add] button.
4. Dial the Speed Dial bin number (00-19).
5. Press the {CO} button or dial the CO line access code(ex. 9, 8801 ~ 8803).
6. Dial the number to be stored.
7. Press the [Save] soft button.
8. If desired, enter a name.
9. Press the [Save] soft button.

Conditions
1. Accessing an empty Speed Dial bin will return an error tone.
2. All Speed Dial numbers stored in memory are protected from power loss.
3. A name can be entered for a Speed Dial number to permit access from the Directory.

How do I dial using a station speed dial number?

To dial using a Station Speed Dial:

1. Lift handset or press the [Speaker] button.
2. Press the [Directory] button.
3. Press the [Speed] button.
4. Dial the desired bin number (00–19).

How do I record an auto attendant announcement?

To record an Auto Attendant Announcement:

Base Station
1. Press the [Menu] button.
2. Dial 2 3 2.
3. Dial ‘#’.
4. After the record prompt and beep-tone, record message.
5. Press the [Save] soft button to stop recording and save the message.

To delete a recording:
1. Press the [Menu] button.
2. Dial 2 3 2.
3. Press [Delete] soft button’.

Conditions
1. If the external caller dials a station number and the station is busy or error or no answer, the call is routed by busy/error/no answer destination (menu 2 3 4).
2. No answer exception occurs after No answer timer expires (Menu + 2 3 5).
3. The greeting is played by retry count(menu + 2 3 3)
4. The auto answering feature isn’t applied to “Tel/fax” Co line. In “Tel/fax” Co line, after fax tone detect time, the call go to ring assigned stations.

How do I place an intercom call? top

To place an intercom call:

Base station

1. Lift the handset or press the [Speaker] button to receive ICM dial tone.
2. Dial station number or press the {Station} button.
3. For ring-back tone, await answer

How do I set CO ring assignment?

To set “co ring assignment”: Base station

1. Press [Menu] button.
2. Dial 1 3 2
3. Select a Co line
4. Press the button of desired station and LED of button is turned on.
5. Press [Save] button.

Conditions
A busy station receives the muted ring or Call Waiting tones (as appropriate) for the station’s off-hook ring assignment.
In Night/weekend mode, co ring assignment is disabled.
